On our radar in Baltimore

Chart your own course with a stay that pairs campus culture, the calm retreat of The Study, and the best of spring and summer in Baltimore. Exhibits and activities on campus, summer camps and academic programs for both kids and adults, and active sporting and cultural calendar make Baltimore a top 2026 travel destination that delivers on every level.

America's Semisesquicentennial

The Maryland Center of History and Culture features a treasure trove of colonial and revolutionary-era artifacts. Now on view, The Unfinished Revolution exhibit chronicles the major events following the nation's independence.

June 24-30, head to Inner Harbor for Sail250® Maryland, the touring display of historic tall ships from around the globe. The Baltimore event will also feature a series of festivals and an airshow.

Culture Festivals

Spring highlights include the Maryland Film Festival, April 8-12, and Artscape, May 23-24. Late summer, the Baltimore Book Festival returns to The City that Reads, September 12-13.

Full schedules are still forthcoming, but expect live performances and appearances from preeminent voices across the city’s creative scene.

Fine Arts

The Baltimore Museum of Art's record-breaking exhibition from portraitist Amy Sherald is now sold out, but there’s still plenty to discover at the stunning museum just one block from The Study—including two new Henri Matisse exhibits debuting this month and on view through early autumn.

Also worth catching: Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's spring and summer concerts, and the lineup of world-renowned guest speakers and performances at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.
